She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Monroe and Beatrice Monroe (Shafer); her husband Martin "Mike" Kolbe; and her siblings, Louis, Harvey Monroe, LaVerne Chase and Shirley Hutchins.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Kolbe (Marie) of Walkerville, Charles Kolbe of White Lake and Susan Kolbe of Savage, Minnesota; and her granddaughters, Kim Kolbe of Kalamazoo, Brenda Metcalfe (Cory) of Osceola and Tarie Kolbe of Walker. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
