Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Caroline Lillian (Hartwig) Klausmeier of Walled Lake, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 91, on December 1, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Howard E. Klausmeier; her parents, William A. Hartwig and Lillian A. Hartwig; and her granddaughters, Abby Christie and Kelsey Klausmeier.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Christie (Ron), Janet Wilinski (Larry), Howard M. Klausmeier (Ronda) and John Klausmeier (Veronica); her grandchildren, Colin Christie, Trevor Christie, Kaylyn Ebersole, Hattie Moss, Ethan Christie, Carolyn Grady, Garrett Breeding, Rachel Breeding, Brock Breeding, Justin Klausmeier, Joseph Klausmeier, Joshua Klausmeier, Jacob Klausmeier, Noah Klausmeier and Sara Klausmeier; and her siblings, William Hartwig (Joan), Lorenz Hartwig (Sandy), Lois Flynn (Mike), Billy and Larry. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (2040 S Commerce Rd, Walled Lake, MI 48390).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the scholarship funds at Our Shepherd Lutheran School or St. Matthew Lutheran School.
