He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Swanson and Sylvia Swanson (Kivi); and his brother Randy. He is survived by: his siblings, Lissa Collins (Randy), Lynn Knisely (Kevin) and Debra Hartman; his children, Amy (Mark), Peter (Amie) and Erick (Heather); his grandchildren, Ashley (Blake), Amber (Joe), Kara, Brayden, Morgen and Collin; and his great grandchildren, Justin, Bryson, Rowan, Serenity and Joey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
