He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Muriel Stevens and Thomas Henry Hodges; his siblings, Tom, Michele, Rosemary "Pixie" (Leo), William (Mary), Timmy (Kim), Jack (Sue) and Valerie; his significant other Hendrika "Hetty" Brouwer; his son Bryan Thomas; his close friend Bryan Gettler; his brother-in-law Gerrit (Keiko); his daughter-in-law Leah; his grandchildren, Hadley and Johnny; Bryan. He was also cherished by his extended family, acting as a loving nephew, cousin, and uncle.
He later stepped up to coach Bryan's high school team, finding joy in helping teenagers discover the sport, and continued coaching right up until the pandemic.
