Andriy Zachar Wowk Obituary

It is with a heavy heart, we are sad to share that Andy Wowk passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2023. Dear son of Tamara and the late Bohdan. Everlasting loving friend of Theresa Dina. Beloved father of Savannah Wowk. Dearest Godfather of Michael Wowk. Dear brother of Taras Wowk. Loving nephew of Halyna Diaczok. Great cousin and friend of many. Pet parent of Angel and Jameson and the late Beirco Mercheck, Blackie, Venus, Chep, Morgan, Cholita, Heidi and Skittles. Andy played football, baseball, basketball in high school and split his time between hockey and soccer for a Ukranian League. Also spent time being a broadcaster for a Ukrainian radio station. Then went on to MSU majoring in journalism and played soccer for MSU. The next team was a semi pro team the Windsor Wheels. He graduated from Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic School with honors and continued playing soccer. Andy was a dedicated employee at Triple Crown watch and clock repair. He was a very intelligent and wise person, a writer and artistic. Genuinely loyal human being who connected with many and had a great love and understanding for God. He liked fishing had a great sense of humor, had a most memorable laugh that will not be forgotten. Andy was a funny person that had everyone laughing. He was very proud of his heritage and spoke Ukrainian fluently amongst other languages such as Polish and Russian. Andy was a loving person and cared about family and friends and he will be dearly missed.
