Samira Haddad Tamer wrote a sympathy message

“My thoughts and prayers are with Arte's wife, Gisela, my first friend when I moved to CA in 1960. They were married 51 years and we will miss Arte and his wonderful humor. May he rest in peace, and may Gisela's new road in life not be too difficult. Love from your old friend, my dear.”
