He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Carlson and Shirley Goolsby; his sister Janeen Carlson; and his nephews, Justin and Roger Filauro.
He is survived by: his significant other Lisa Deanovich. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors-Utica (8459 Hall Rd, Utica, MI 48317). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers and plants, since most of them are poisonous to their pets, that memorial contributions be made instead to Vets Returning Home in Roseville, Michigan or to a cancer charity.
