He was predeceased by: his father Emil Holz; and his sister Ida Housman. He is survived by: his children, Shelley Inderrieden (Allen), David Holz and Kristel Holz; his grandchildren, Chayse, Austin, Anna, Silas and Mia; and his siblings, Rudy Holz (late Esther), Linda Bohl (Sam), Roy Holz and Wally Holz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
