He was predeceased by: his parents, George Forest and Marie Forest (Moeller). He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Metyko; his children, Tom Forest (Monica), Michelle Shaffer (Russ), Dan Forest (Coryne) and Kathy Kane (Kevin); his grandchildren, Erika, Anna Forest, Jason (Valeria Torres), Nicole Shaffer (Dalton Rowell), Meghan Forest-Singer (Josh), Jordan Forest, Michelle, John (Sahara) and Stephen Kane; his sister Maryanne Durnell (Lee); his brother-in-law Dave Lynn; and his sister Eileen Lynn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Families Church (25252 Van Dyke Ave, Center Line, MI 48015).
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's honor may be made to St. Vincent de Paul St Mary Queen of Families conference or directly to St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families in Center Line, Michigan.
