He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Arthur and Mary Provo (James); and his siblings, Chester A. Provo and Geraldine Bracknell. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Seiberling; his children, Joseph Jr. (Tina) of Chesterfield, Wendy Csaszar (Pete) of Royal Oak, Kevin (Laura) of Washington Twp and Steve (Tammy Kaiser) of Ray Twp; and his brother George (Carol) of Shelby Twp. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in honor of Joseph may be directed to the Living Hope Lutheran Church.
