He was predeceased by: his parents, Damazy Bartold and Mary Bartold; his daughter Suzanne Garavaglia (Thomas); his wife Joanna Jozefkowicz; and his siblings, Casimir and Wanda.
He is survived by: his children, Leonard C. (Linda), Laurence (Maria), Lauren Novak (Michael), Timothy (Marianna), Richard (Susan) and Thomas (Michelle). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 more great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. -Duross Chapel (28499 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088). A rosary was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Verheyden Funeral Home (28499 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and at 10:00 AM at the Assumption Grotto Catholic Church (13770 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, MI 48205). A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
