Michael Joe Morton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Michael Joe Morton of Warren, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Michael departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Michael. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Morton; his grandparents, Louise, Joseph and Helen Morton; and his cousin James Preston.

He is survived by: his father Joseph Morton. He is also survived by his siblings; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the White Chapel Cemetery (621 W Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
