He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Nelson and Nora Nelson; his wife Minnie Nelson; his children, Theresa Y. Dozier and Steven Nelson (Charlene); his grandchild W. R. Dozier (Cherie); and his great grandchildren, Alexandria Holland (Devon) and Zachary Dozier.
