Gail Herd Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gail Herd of Washington Township, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Gail departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gail. Though Gail may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Lackner and Theresa Lackner (Werholtz); and her son Scott Herd. She is survived by: her husband Ernest E. Herd; her daughter Lori Gazley (Tom) of Washington Twp; her grandchildren, Megan Gazley and Matt Gazley; and her siblings, Michael Lackner of California and Joanne Johnson of Oxford.
Memorial Donations can be made in Gail's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
