He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Dewey and Freeda Dewey; his granddaughter Sarah Nance; his brother Donald; his sister-in-law Edith Dewey; and his brother Harvey Dewey.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Nance (Jeff) of Washington, MI and Stephen Dewey (Karin) of Pompano Beach, FL; his grandsons, Christopher Nance (Alyssa) of Grand Rapids, MI and Matthew Nance (Kenadie) of Reading, OH; his great grandchildren, Beckham, Declan Nance and Camryn Nance; his sister Emma Sharrow of Port Huron, MI; and his sister-in-law Sharon Dewey of Cedar Rapids, IA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
