He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Berent and Ellen Berent (McCann); his brother Tom Berent; and his niece Sue Berent. He is survived by: his wife Christina A. Kusmider; his children, Terese McDermott (Michael), Thaddeus Berent (Jamie) and Rachel Elmore (Jeff); his grandchildren, Molly, Quinn, Issac, Malachi, Peter, Titus, Jude, Will, Makayla and Landon; his brother Joe Berent (Lesle); and his sister-in-law Mary Berent. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's memory would be appreciated to St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank at St. John Catholic Church, Fenton.
