She was predeceased by: her husband William Pearl Verhey; and her siblings, Lloyd Smith (Betty), Jim Smith (Carolyn), Helen Yoder (Jim) and Wayne Smith (Annie).

She is survived by: her children, William "Billy" Verhey, Daniel Verhey (Deana), Stephanie Johnston (Mike) and Marianne Verhey; her grandchildren, Kess, Brynn, Kendra, McKenzie, Jenna, Taylor, Maddison, Anthony, Mitchell, Daniel, Maddox and Kaylee; and her sister Sharon Zelyez (late Ron).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
