He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Colleen Currie; his children, Cresta Ishler (Ed) and Richard Carmen Currie (Ashley Hoey); his granddaughters, Amelia and Vivian; and his siblings, Linda Nael (Paul), Michael Currie (Elaine), Joseph Currie and Georgetta Garry.
