“I just found out Russ died today. Exactly 1 year ago today. I find that so bizarre, almost like a goodbye. You see I met Russ when he was starting school to be an attorney. We were both great dancers, and we would go to Peppi’s and dance our asses off. We would laugh so hard. He told me one night- you gotta see my beemer!! I had no idea what a “beemer” was. We would have in depth philosophical conversations for sometimes hours. He was a complete sweetheart. One of the nicest men I’ve ever known.”
