He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Werner and Evangaline Werner; and his sisters, Regina Ulrich and Angie Werner. He is survived by: his children, Scott Werner, Jr. and Chloe Werner; his siblings, Jerry Werner, Alberta Hoggard (Jim), Trudy Wassmann (Scott) and Kenny Werner (Kim); and his brother-in-law Bob Ulrich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
