He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Sheehan and Jane Sheehan (Carroll). He is survived by: his wife Alice Rebain; his brother Jerry (Theresa); and his children, Daniel Sheehan (Susan), Erin Peterson (Bob), Maureen Heimsath (Jerry), Eileen Scott (Sean), Margaret Khadra (Dave) and James Sheehan (Lori). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
