He was predeceased by: his granddaughters, Rebecca and Jessica Hinkelman; his sister Leona Mienko; his parents, Karl Hinkelman and June Malich; his stepfather Mike Malich; and his aunt Louise Freier.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Hinkelman (Haak) of John's Catholic Church; his children, Carlyn Hinkelman Jr. (Dallas), Jon Hinkelman (Diane), Beth Martin (Rick), Karen Olds (Randy) and Jayne Cook (Fred); and his brothers, Gus Hinkelman (Judy) and Rick Malich. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carl's memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet or Corewell Health Hospice.
