The family announces the passing of Michael Elsner (Watervliet, Michigan) on August 26, 2026. Michael will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Though Michael is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Michael’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his mother Gwendolyn Elsner (Lepker); and his brother Brian Elsner. He is survived by: his father Theodore Elsner; his wife Kathy Elsner (Harte); his children, Walter Elsner (Kassie) and Caroline Elsner; his granddaughter Luna Elsner; and his sister Beth Eisbrenner (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hutchins Funeral Home (209 S Main St, Watervliet, MI 49098). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ (1650 Bainbridge Center Rd, Watervliet, MI 49098).
Memorials may be made in Mike's name to Corewell Health Hospice.
