She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Garrett and Lona Garrett (Shepherd); her son-in-law Richard Smith; and her brothers, Marlan Garrett, Dennis Garrett, Edward Garrett and Paul Garrett.
She is survived by: her children, Eugenia Wright (Tim), Rex Caruthers (Teen) and Melissa Smith; her grandchildren, Rebecca Valentine, Amber Sexton (Chuck), Austin Smith, Chad Madison, Brian Brauneller, Aaron Brauneller and Shane Brauneller; and her great grandchildren, Edward Valentine, Abigail Valentine, Charlotte Sexton and Leo Sexton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
