Anona M. Steeby Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anona M. Steeby of Wayland, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 20, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Covey and Helen Lucile Covey; her husband David Steeby; her siblings, Jeanette Hill and Larry Covey; her grandsons, Timothy Steeby and Tyler Steeby; her great grandchild Anastacia Bowman; and her sisters-in-law, Donna McGuire, Alice Kroft and Ann Steeby.

She is survived by: her children, Lori Haselden (Bill), Colin Mead, Stacey Aman (Bill), Carol Bolthouse (John), Kathy Armstrong (Dennis) and Michael Steeby (Janet); her grandchildren, Aleshia Howell, Alaina Truer (Zeb), Joshua Aman, Stephanie Aman, Amanda Bowman (Matt), Aaron Bolthouse (Mandy), Megan Grove, Zachary Bolthouse (Allison), Christopher Edwards (Liz), Tiffany Rozell (Roger), Samantha Graham (Jay), Autumn Ackles, Ashley Steeby, Travis Steeby and Dylan Steeby; her siblings, Myrtle Stowitts and Ben Covey (Elma Jean); and her siblings-in-law, Elly Covey, Richard Steeby, Charles Steeby (Jean) and Don Steeby (Marcia). She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness or the Leighton Church Circle of Joy Women's Fellowship.
