She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Friel and Doris Friel; her former husband David VandenBurg; and her brother Larry Friel. She is survived by: her husband John Scheidt; her adoptive children, Bradley and April VandenBerg; and her siblings, Donna Hoffman, Donny Friel and Danny Friel. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
In memory of Bonnie and in lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a local charity that assists animals, specifically dogs.
