We announce the death of Burrell Daniel Stein of Wayland, Michigan, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 91. Burrell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Stein (Weber). He is survived by: his children, Margie Stein (Trudy Vandell), Laura Boerema (Jerry), John Stein (LuAnn), Lynn Stein, Susie Weick (John), Joe Stein (Kim), Luke Stein (Amy Meengs), Jackie Chandler (Pat) and Emily Stein; his siblings, Sister Marjorie Stein O. P., Bernadette Antecki, Rosemary Wolters (Cal) and Ken Schwartz (Margaret); and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Weber and Barb Roys. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (128 Cedar St, Wayland, MI 49348). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wayland Union Fine Arts Center Grand Hall (870 E Superior St, Wayland, MI 49348).
