He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonino Amato and Caterina Amato (Manno); his wife Maria Amato; and his sisters, Benedetta Scavone (Jaspare) and Vincenza Matranga (Gaspare).
He is survived by: his brother Joe Amato (Anna); his children, Tony Amato (Brenda), Peter Amato (Karen) and Kathy D'Angelo (Tom); his grandchildren, Maria, Eddie, Nicholas, Shelby, Anthony, Vincent, Dominic, Isabella and Marco; and his great grandchildren, Luigi and Theoden.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (128 Cedar St, Wayland, MI 49348).
