It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chauncey William Smith of Wayland, Michigan, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Clayton Smith and Ruby Smith of Wayland, Michigan.; his siblings, Bernard, Raymond Smith and Ellenrose Palmer; his former life partner Edythe Smith (Loucks); and his son Eric Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Smith (Bair); his children, Gregg Smith, Leslie St (Gregg) and Andrea Cruff (Lonny); and his stepchildren, Randy Densmore (Linda), Robin Myers (Joe) and Rochelle Slachta (Ron). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
