He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Johnson and Rheta Johnson; and his brother Steve Johnson. He is survived by : his wife Robin; his children, Erin Ruszkowski (Mike) and William Johnson; his grandson Ethan Ruszkowski; and his sister Dawn Riley (Mike). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
