She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Vander Veen; and her siblings, Ella Murphy (Herm), Ann Steenwyk, Clarence Hoven (Agnus), Don Hoven, Bernice Visser (Bud), Bill Hoven (Donna), Etta DeGroot, Bob Hoven (Jane) and Ann Hoven.
She is survived by: her children, Nick Vander Veen (Diana), Linda Miedema (Al), Laura Koster (Harry), Marilyn Becksvoort (Bob) and Eric Vander Veen (Jen); and her brother Ray Hoven. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
In memory of Jean and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Byron Manor or Faith Hospice.
