She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer McAllister and Doris McAllister; her brother Jerry McAllister; and her husband Herman VandenBerg. She is survived by: her siblings, John McAllister and Carol York (Lary); her children, Andrew VandenBerg (Susan), Alaine Chrusciel (Mark) and Austin VandenBerg (Debbie Kennedy); and her granddaughters, Monica Eldred (Shawn), Amanda Hoeksma (Ron), Lyndsey Qualiato (Andy), Ashley Wolters (Luke) and Chelsea Balkema (Ralph). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family would encourage all who are able to support Allegan County Senior Services, as Joyce benefited from their services for many years.
