He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy VanderKolk (Scott) and Jane Dykstra; his daughter-in-law Eileen Dykstra; his close friend Joyce Williams; and his friend Les Powers. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice or Wayland Christian Reformed Church.
