He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Lynn Staples. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Caroline; his sons, Ronald C. Staples, Donald L. Staples and Robert Staples (Laurie); his grandchildren, Caitlin S. Staples, Dane M. Staples, Brett R. Staples, Bryan C. Staples, Justin S. Staples, Hannah J. Staples, Luke R. Staples, Karen B. Staples and Logan C. Staples; his great grandchildren, William Brooks Nunery, Maisie Grace Nunery, Annabelle Joy Nunery, Bennett Nunery and Kol Patrick Staples; and his siblings, James C. Staples, Sherry Joan Staples and Nancy Jane Staples.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the CrossPointe Community Church (36125 Glenwood Rd, Wayne, MI 48184). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
