He is survived by: his significant other Carol Wernette; his children, Deb Homant (Tony) of Greenville, Lori Simon (Mike) of Mecosta, Joannie Garner (David) of Blanchard, Jim Wernette (Julie) of Weidman, Mike Wernette of Mt. Pleasant, Lisa Stadtfeld (John) of Mecosta and Jeff Wernette (Tracy) of Newaygo; and his in-laws, Bill Whitscell, Rita Wernette, Mary Paisley (Dick), Bill Neubecker, Ray Neubecker (Jolene), Rose Schafer, Brad Walker, Margie Logan (Denny), Kathy Shaner (Stan), Deb Straus (Dennis) and Julie Hutchinson (Terry). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
