He is survived by: his wife Charlene Higgins; his children, Terry Kennedy, Kevin Kennedy (Deann), Julie Thielen (Doug Demski), Tina Yuncker (Randy), Shellie Battleshaw (Gary Shaver) and Steve Battleshaw (Nicole Roesch); his grandchildren, Justine, Jordan, Jade, Justin Thielen (Amy), Christopher Thielen (Lauren), Crystal Willis (Jeff), Ashley Thering (Jake), Corey Yuncker (Jessica Weatherwax), Ryan Battleshaw (Cristy), Morgan Wood and Amber Wood (Patrick Kinsey); his great grandchildren, Darren Schafer, Colton Willis, Leiah Battleshaw, Tyler Battleshaw, Adelyn Thering, Haidyn Thering, Hadley Thielen, Cameron Thielen, Eden Thielen and Kinsey Thielen; his siblings, RoseMary Florian, Bob Battleshaw (Anita) and Kathy Battleshaw; and his nephew Mike Florian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home (2300 S Lincoln Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
