He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Elka and Ethel Elka (McLaughlin); and his siblings, Charles and Edna. He is survived by: his wife Susan Elka of Wellston; his children, Joy Ruetz of Wellston, Beth Werra (Jeromy) of Prudenville, Warren Elka of Boyne Falls, Amanda Elka (Jeff Wyckoff) of Flint, Al's, Casey Yager and Brandon Wright; his grandchildren, Jordan, Zachary, Mary, Kolby, Ava, Zane and Destiny; his great grandchild Maya; and his mother-in-law Mary Rau of Harrison. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Norman Township Hall (1273 Seaman Rd, Wellston, MI 49689).
