“I met Allan in 2020. He called me and wanted to tell me something. We became instant friends. We spoke often by phone, and finally we met for lunch in April 2023 at Steve's Deli, behind Andiamo's on Telegraph Rd. We had a great visit, and I gave him a bottle of my favorite Napa Valley wine, Bogle-Phantom Red. I'll never forget his voice. He described his work days at Central Sanitation. I have a recorded audio/video of one of our calls if anyone would like to see/hear it. [email protected].”
