He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Jonas; his daughter Suzanne Winkelman (Marc); and his siblings, Ernest Jonas, Edward Jonas (late Pat), Arnold Glovinsky, Herman Fox, Norman Glovinsky, Walter Jonas (late Carole), Robert Jonas (late Jean) and Nancy Smith (William).
He is survived by: his children, Marc Jonas (Beverly) and Rabbi Shmaya Jonas (Tova); and his siblings, Lillian, Herbert Jonas (late Eleanor), Shirley Jonas, Deanna Tachna (late Selden), Judy Traub (Rabbi Jacob) and Leslie Fredson (Shlomo). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
