“As one of Martin's hockey buddies, I only knew Martin for a year or so, but in that short period of time I grew to know Martin as a friend and a fun loving person who had an undieing spirit and a drive to live life to the fullest. Even though hampered by illness in these later months, he taught us a lesson in positivity and how to be brave in the face of adversity. We may have lost Martin, but God has gained a top six winger.
