He was predeceased by: his father Richard Cullen Tate; and his nephew Phillip Frost. He is survived by: his wife Christine Tate; his sons, Cullen Anthony Tate (Haylie) and Christopher Richard Tate; his grandsons, Ethan and Owen Tate; his mother Dorothy Mae Tate; his sisters, Tina Etter (Dale) and Kathy Kania (Bruce); and his nephew Ryker Tate.
