He was predeceased by: his sibling Jerry Band; his brother-in-law Phillip Applebaum (late Geneva); and his parents, Hyman Band and Ruth Band. He is survived by: his wife Lois Band; his children, Danielle Band (Jason Skinder) and Ryan Band (Stacey); his siblings, Phyllis Seel (late Allen), Beverly Scharg (Sheldon) and Sherry Surnow (Michael); and his sibling-in-law Lynn Oboler (late Allen).
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Ira Kaufman Chapel (18325 W Nine Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075).
