She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Simon and Harry Simon; her siblings, Frances Goldberg, Sylvia Wachtel, Raenette Simon and Howard Simon; and her husband Master Sergeant David Kovarsky.

She is survived by: her children, Mark (Karen), Kathy Leeman (Tim Turnock) and Joan Levine (Milton). She is also survived by four grandchildren.
