He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Kurland and Sarah Fridenberg (late Henry); his parents-in-law, Pearl and Julian; and his brother-in-law Harvey Nusbaum.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kurland; his children, Deniece Hummel (Bradly), Brian Miller (Marci) and Jennifer Kurland; his grandchildren, Eli Miller and Paige Miller; his pets, Walter, Onyx, Ally, Oliver, Simon, Adelaide and Myla; his parent-in-law Nusbaum; and his sisters-in-law, Margery Jablin and Helene Graham (John). He is also survived by many other family members and, friends.
