He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Mackie and James Mackie; his brother Joseph Mackie; and his parents-in-law, Nancy Christensen and George Zeabari.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Marie Mackie; his children, Madeline Alise Lucci and Ethan Michael Mackie; his sisters, Kimberly Irwin, Michelle Kinville (Jeff) and Kathleen Mackie; his son-in-law Nicholas Lucci; his siblings-in-law, Linda Johnson (Gordon), Lisa Jeffrey (Brian), Marie Jordan (Jerry), Samuel Zeabari (Ashley) and John Zeabari (Sally); and also Tara McCarthy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rg & Gr Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Services (15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church (9601 Hubbard St, Livonia, MI 48150).
