He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Mackie and James Mackie; his brother Joseph Mackie; and his parents-in-law, Nancy Christensen and George Zeabari.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Marie Mackie; his children, Madeline Alise Lucci and Ethan Michael Mackie; his sisters, Kimberly Irwin, Michelle Kinville (Jeff) and Kathleen Mackie; his son-in-law Nicholas Lucci; his siblings-in-law, Linda Johnson (Gordon), Lisa Jeffrey (Brian), Marie Jordan (Jerry), Samuel Zeabari (Ashley) and John Zeabari (Sally); and also Tara McCarthy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Michael's name, an organization that was dear to his heart.Michael will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generous heart, boundless humor, and the love he gave so freely.
