He was predeceased by: his sibling Shlomo Kolender; and his parents, Bella Kolender and Simcha Kolender. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kolender; his children, Brian Kolender (Elyse), Suzanne Gendelman, Mindy Barron (Jeremy), Laurie Jerris and Jon Gornbein; his grandchildren, Zoe Dawson (Ethan), Ruby Kolender, Josh Gendelman, Jennifer Vigilant (Jon), Sam Gendelman, Jemma Barron, Ben Jerris and Emily Jerris; and his sister Rochelle Yager (late Henry).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Ira Kaufman Chapel (18325 W Nine Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075). For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
