He was predeceased by: his son Dr. Michael Kleiman; and his grandson Max Walter. He is survived by: his wife Estelle Kleiman; his daughter-in-law Susan Binder; his daughter Debra; his son-in-law Paul Walter; his grandchildren, Mallory Shiffman (Matthew), Dr. Ari Walter and Zachary Walter; and his great grandchildren, Emerson and Morrison Shiffman.
