Sheldon Kaftan Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheldon Kaftan of West Bloomfield, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Michael Topper; his parents, Gloria Kaftan and Allen Kaftan; and his parents-in-law, Annabel and George Topper.

He is survived by: his wife Mari Kaftan; his daughters, Susan Deutsch (David), Linda Lutz (Daniel) and Karen Berns (Matthew); his grandchildren, Daniel Deutsch (Jessica), Jonathan Deutsch, Jacob Lutz, Michael Lutz (Mackenzie Mackay), Adam Lutz, Leah Berns, Joe Berns and Aaron Berns; his great grandchild Scottie Deutsch; his brother Melvin Kaftan (Geri); and his sisters-in-law, Carole Kaftan and Maxine. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
