He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Pelak and Mary Pelak (Dudek); and his sisters, Dolores Groholski, Margaret Pelak, Sally Spangenberg and Antionette Pelak.
He is survived by: his fiancée Cynthia McKenna; his siblings, Harry Pelak, Theodore Pelak, Christine Reed (Steve) and James Pelak (Veronica); and his fiancée's daughter Christin McKenna-Jordan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
