Sally Jane HillWest Branch, MichiganSally Jane Hill, born on April 27, 1947, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to the late Bronson and Mary Elizabeth (Buzzell) Hill, passed away on June 1, 2026, at her residence in West Branch, Michigan. She was a wife, mother, sister, great friend, and caregiver, and she fulfilled each of those roles with grace and sincerity.
Sally lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and steady devotion to the people she loved. She was a loving, thoughtful, and passionate woman whose presence brought comfort and strength to those around her. Her family was the center of her world, and she carried that love into every part of her life.
Sally graduated from Macomb College with a nursing degree, a path that reflected both her intelligence and her deep desire to help others. She devoted her career to healthcare, where she worked as a psychiatric registered nurse in several medical centers. In that role, she cared for many people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Her calm spirit, kind heart, and genuine concern for others made her a trusted caregiver and a source of reassurance to patients, families, and coworkers alike.
Throughout her life, Sally was known for the way she gave herself so freely. She was the kind of person who listened carefully, offered encouragement without hesitation, and made others feel seen and valued. Her work in healthcare was more than a profession. It was an extension of who she was. She brought patience, understanding, and compassion to her calling, and those qualities left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Sally treasured her family above all else. She is survived by her husband, Dan Stockfish; her children, Heather Lyn DuCharme and Jennifer Michelle "Ora" Kreisler; her stepsons, Jeff Stockfish and Terry Stockfish; and Dan Stockfish Jr. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kian McVicar, Ashlyn McVicar, Neriya Kreisler, Yoav Kreisler, Aviel Kreisler, Kayla Stockfish, and Jacob Stockfish. She is further survived by her sister, Merrilee Hill-Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bronson and Mary Elizabeth Hill.
Sally found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life, especially in caring for others and spending time with her loved ones. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm heart, her generous nature, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. She had a way of making others feel supported and loved, and that gift will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
